Our leadership team drives NPF's mission forward day by day, managing operations, programs, and community relationships on the ground in Costa Rica.

Executive Director
Charmaine Kyle
Since 2024
Charmaine brings over 25 years of international non-profit and for-profit experience, working with top tier organizations such as the Stupski Foundation, Room to Read, the Nike Foundation, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs. Charmaine specializes in philanthropic strategy development, facilitating pivotal strategic decisions, market research and landscape analyses, as well as grantee capacity building and field development. Charmaine works with both individual philanthropists and foundations. After moving and settling in Santa Teresa, Charmaine helped establish the Nicoya Peninsula Foundation and serves as the Executive Director.

Georgia Beasley
Since 2026
Georgia brings over 13 years of experience developing strategies for mission-driven nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. She specializes in philanthropic advising, strategy development, program design, and grantee management. Her work in scalable environmental solutions in East Africa and Latin America was highlighted by National Geographic, UN WFP, and the DRA Innovation Fund. Georgia brings deep knowledge of community-based implementation to her work with individual philanthropists and private and community foundations. At NPF, she leads program strategy and implementation, and supports fundraising and multisector partnerships. She resides in Santa Teresa.

Roberto is an engineer based in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, with over two decades of experience spanning hospitality management, project leadership, and filmmaking. His background includes an 11-year tenure as General Manager of Hotel Tropico Latino, 5-year owner of two vacation rentals, and different roles at L.L.Bean, where he applied his expertise in operations and project coordination. He also leverages research and visual storytelling to produce documentaries that protect the environment and strengthen local communities. Deeply committed to social impact, Roberto serves as the President of the Integral Development Association of Mal País and Santa Teresa (ADI). He combines engineering skills with a passion for creative advocacy to drive sustainability.

At NPF, Checo is in charge of running grants operations and grant reporting, running all donations processing and donor reporting, as well as leading the charge on accounting and any other aspects of NPF’s day-to-day operations.
