Infrastructure

Infrastructure, closely intertwined with the environment, plays a pivotal role in our community's well-being. This encompasses addressing critical issues such as water scarcity, sewage/waste management, roads, garbage solutions, and security. While these topics may not be the most thrilling, they form the bedrock of our community's health and vibrancy.

We are currently evaluating priority projects for potential funding, leveraging the support of our community and public/private partnerships. Some initial projects under assessment include:

  • Security: Collaborating on a multi-party security initiative to strategically install security cameras from Manzanillo to Malpais, enhancing safety throughout the region.

  • Garbage Solutions: Partnering with the Cobano District to assess and improve the area's complex garbage situation. This includes initiatives ranging from regular garbage pick-up to establishing composting capabilities to alleviate the current waste management challenges.

  • Sewage/Waste Management: Exploring the possibility of co-funding a feasibility study for the development of a centralized waste management plant to address sewage and waste management needs efficiently.

  • Roads: Investigating opportunities for infrastructure development, including roads, sidewalks, and communal spaces through public-private partnerships. Special emphasis is placed on enhancing crossroads for improved connectivity and accessibility.

Join us in our efforts to strengthen the foundational infrastructure of our community. Together, we can create a more resilient and vibrant Santa Teresa and Cobano District for all.
